Good weather

Hi everyone,

The team is making good progress thanks to some fantastic weather, temperatures a balmy 10°C! The sun is making life quite enjoyable, with warm tents that soak up the solar radiation like greenhouses. This initially caused an issue with Bryony’s high sleeping bag providing comfort down below -40°C meaning she was too hot!

With another 17km behind them yesterday the team are in good spirits, and on target to make it to the pole by the 17th of January. Of course, skiing 15 or 17km a day isn’t enough. The team plans on upping the distance in a days skiing to 26km before reaching they’re goal, as they get fitter and more adept at skiing in the Antarctic environment.

As an added update, the official expedition blog is now on-line, which includes pictures and updates of the expedition. The Team have also been able to make voice recordings which are posted on the blog, worth checking it out! -
